Amedeo Verniani

Amedeo Verniani was born in 1998. He started studying bass guitar at the age of 11, guided by Silvia Bolognesi. During the first years of his studies he got two scholarships for Berklee College of Music, he attended many SienaJazz University Summer Workshops and played in a lot of different musical events (such as Umbria Jazz Winter, in which he performed as “The best bass player of the Umbria Jazz Clinics”). When he was 16 years old he started to study classical music and the double bass guided by Andrea Granai. In the following years he played for the Città di Grosseto Orchestra, the Filarmonica di Lucca, The Orchestra dei Conservatori della Toscana and the Orchestra Giovanile Italiana.
In the meantime, he studied improvising techniques with Silvia Bolognesi, Emanuele Parrini and Stefano Battaglia; he performed at Cortona Jazz Festival with Giancarlo Schiaffini, at Capodanno Romano with Pasquale Innarella and at Pisa Jazz with the musicians involved in his latest musical project (Amedeo Verniani “Due”).

“Due” has been released by Fonterossa Records in 2018, and contains music written and performed by Amedeo Verniani, Emanuele Parrini, Tony Cattano, Joseph Nowell and Pierluigi Foschi. This one, the first Album by the young artist, was and is still loved by the national Press.
