Jacopo Fagioli
Appears on:Born in 1997, he started to play the trumpet at the age of 8.
He attended classical studies at first, the marked interest in jazz and improvisation was born between him and other fellow musicians during high school.
He took part in several national classical competitions (“Music Festival Riviera Etrusca City of San Vincenzo”, “Music Competition Riviera Etrusca”, “National Music Competition of Versilia”) always standing on the podium. At the same time participating in summer Jazz workshops in different parts of Italy (Umbria, Marche, Liguria, Tuscany), getting always in these important scholarships: “Arcevia Jazz”, “IsolaJazz”, “Berklee Umbria Jazz Clinics”, “Five Weeks Summer Performance Program”.
In the summer of 2013 he took part in a European production, the “Wonderful Youth Orchestra” a symphony orchestra that had a half-a-month tour in Eastern Europe and the Balkans (Croatia, Slovenia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Serbia) under the direction of Maestro Igor Coretti-Kuret.
He began his advanced training at Siena Jazz where he studied the tradition of the genre and deepened the dimension of improvisation under the guidance of Masters of the sector such as Fulvio Sigurtà, Giovanni Falzone, Stefano Battaglia, Silvia Bolognesi, Dan Kinzelman, Alfonso Santimone and others.
In 2018 he was selected by Siena Jazz for his representation during the international meeting “I.A.S.J.” (“International Association of School of Jazz”) in Viljandi, Estonia in July of the same year.
In July 2019 he won the “Premio Marco Tamburini” competition for jazz band with his duo with the pianist Nico Tangherlini
He is currently active in several original projects, he has performed in prestigious Jazz stages such as “Siena Jazz Festival”, “Serravalle Jazz”, “Jazz Alguer”, “Val Badia Jazz Festival”, “Musicus Concentus”.
