After his Conservatory studies, he begins his path of in-depth study of frame drums from Italian, Mediterranean, Turkish and Arab traditions with Masters such as Andrea Piccioni, Murat Coşkun, Elias Habib, and others, studying the different approaches and repertoires of these instruments.
This interest led him to in-depth analysis of musical traditions and different musical systems and musical forms of the repertoire related to frame drums. Currently, he is also studying Medieval Music and the repertoire related to frame drums.
Lorenzo D’Erasmo studies Percussion Instruments with Andrea Pestalozza at the “Giuseppe Verdi” Conservatory of Milan and at the Hochschule fur Musik of Freiburg Im Breisgau with Berharnd Wulff.He has performed in different festivals including: Biennale di Venezia Musica, Milanomusica Festival, MITO Settembre Musica, TransArt Festival, Mantova Chamber Music Festival, Sound Of Wander, Spinola-Banna Foundation for Art.
