Philipp Gropper is a tenor saxophone player and composer. Perhaps most known for Hyperactive Kid (with Ronny Graupe and Christian Lillinger), which made the rounds in Europe since 2003, his current bands, like Philm and TAU 5, further his artistic visions, and show him as a constantly evolving musician and one of Europe’s most distinct voices on the tenor saxophone.
He can be found on more than 50 albums and has been awarded several prices.
